MESQUITE, NV (FOX5) -

Authorities released the names of five family members who were killed in an apparent DUI-related rollover on Interstate 15 outside of the Las Vegas valley.

According to the Clark County Coroner's office, the people who died were identified as Genaro Fernandez, 31, of Norwalk, Calif.; Raudel Fernandez-Avila, 49, and Belen Fernandez, 53, both of Lynwood, Calif.; and Angela Sandoval, 13, and Leonardo Fernandez-Avila, 45, both of Los Angeles.

Relatives of the victims said the five, along with two others, were traveling back to California on Saturday from Colorado, where they had been visiting a dying family member.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, a Dodge Durango driven by 18-year-old Jean Soriano struck the family's Chevrolet AstroVan from behind in the southbound I-15 at Mile Marker 101 near Mesquite at about 3 a.m.

As a result, the van overturned and continued off the road, ejecting five occupants, NHP said. The five who died in the crash were declared deceased at the scene, according to authorities.

A 15-year-old boy and the 40-year-old woman who was driving the van were airlifted to University Medical Center in critical condition, troopers said.

NHP also said Soriano's Dodge overturned and traveled off the road as well before coming to rest onto its roof. A 23-year-old man inside the Durango sustained non-life threatening injuries.

According to NHP, Soriano was treated and released at UMC before being booked into Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of driving under the influence.
