Motorcyclist killed near McCarran Airport ID'd

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A motorcyclist who died after colliding with a vehicle south of McCarran International Airport was identified Tuesday.

Ruber Armando Baez-Marin, 25, died in the accident on Monday, according to the Clark County Coroner's office. The cause and manner of his death were pending.

According to police, Baez-Marin's Yamaha was heading eastbound on Sunset in the center lane when a female driver pulled out in front of him from a PT's Pub parking lot.

Police said the man died at the scene. The woman was not injured, and police said she was not driving under the influence.

According to investigators, the motorcyclist appeared to be wearing a helmet, but police said it did come off at some point during the accident.

The driver in the incident, identified as 32-year-old Catia Hirano, was not injured, police said.

The Clark County Coroner's office is expected to release the motorcyclist's name.

According to Metro, this was the 32nd auto-related fatality of the year.
