A portion of Sunset Road was shut down Monday after an early morning wreck that killed a motorcyclist.
Las Vegas Metro police reported the incident about 3:30 a.m. near Sunset and Spencer Street.
According to police, a 25-year-old rider of a Yamaha was heading eastbound on Sunset in the center lane when a female driver pulled out in front of him from a PT's Pub parking lot.
Police said the man died at the scene. The woman was not injured, and police said she was not driving under the influence.
According to investigators, the motorcyclist appeared to be wearing a helmet, but police said it did come off at some point during the accident.
The driver in the incident, identified as 32-year-old Catia Hirano, was not injured, police said.
The Clark County Coroner's office is expected to release the motorcyclist's name.
According to Metro, this was the 32nd auto-related fatality of the year.
