According to Metro police, on Saturday near 2:00 a.m. they received a call indicating a man had possibly been stabbed outside near the 300 block of North 10th Street. Officers on scene located an adult male lying in the grass deceased from what appeared to be multiple stab wounds.
The LVMPD Homicide Section is continuing its investigation, but it appears that the victim was sleeping outside in a make-shift living area. A witness told investigators the victim was involved in a struggle with an unidentified assailant prior to the stabbing. This witness tried to help and then called police.
There is no suspect in custody in connection with this incident and the motive behind this stabbing is unknown at this time.
