$10.9M of cocaine seized in Interstate 15 bust

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

More than 284 pounds of cocaine, some packed in Hello Kitty and Justin Bieber-themed wrapping paper, were seized early Friday morning on Interstate 15, Las Vegas Metro police said.

According to Metro, an 18-wheel semi-truck was pulled over about 3:45 a.m. on I-15 North at Craig Road for a traffic violation.

Authorities revealed the driver was in possession of narcotics.

A narcotics task force was able to find in the big rig and seize the cocaine, which had an estimated street value of $10.9 million.

The driver – Rahul Grewal, 52 – was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of trafficking a controlled substance and transporting a controlled substance for sale.
