LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A family of five escaped an early morning fire at a mobile home park in northeast Las Vegas.

According to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, crews were called to the double-wide mobile home blaze at about 4:23 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of N. Lamb Boulevard.

LVFR said the home was heavily involved in flames when crews arrived. Crews were able to extinguish the flames in less than 10 minutes, according to officials.

Investigators believe the fire was accidental and may have started outside the home in a trash can area. Investigators, though, were not sure what caused the fire inside the trash can.

Damage was estimated at $50,000.

The American Red Cross is assisting the two adults and three children who were driven from their home.
