Las Vegas Metro police dealt with two unrelated overnight shootings, including one in which the victim was wounded in the face.

One of the incidents happened about 11 p.m. Thursday near Jones Boulevard and Vegas Drive.

According to Metro, a man was walking down a street when he was approached by a group of five or six men, prompting an argument.

The man produced a firearm and shot two of the men in the group, police said. Both of the victims were transported to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Another overnight incident happened in about 1:15 a.m. Friday in the 5000 block of Tamarus Street, south of Tropicana Avenue.

According to LVMPD, a 30-year-old white male victim was found with a single gunshot wound to the face at an apartment complex.

Police said officers found a significant amount of blood inside the victim's vehicle.

The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital-Trauma in serious condition. Police did not disclose a description on the subject.

Investigations in both incidents are ongoing.
