The Las Vegas Wranglers are set to honor former goaltender Marc Magliarditi for his recent induction into the ECHL Hall of Fame.
Magliarditi, 36, played his final four seasons of professional hockey with the Wranglers, appearing in 146 games between 2003 and 2007.
The netminder was inducted into the hall this past January and will be formally recognized in a ceremony during the team's game on Tuesday, March 19.
A sixth-round draft pick by the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks in 1995, Magliarditi leads the ECHL with 25 shutouts and is only the second player inducted into the Hall of Fame.
"It's a big honor to be a part of any hall of fame," Magliarditi said. "It kind of helped me put a stamp or an exclamation point on my career."
The Wranglers will present a plaque to Magliarditi during the first intermission and he will sign autographs on the concourse during the second.
"I know tons of goalies have come through this league, and many have gone on to the NHL and been successful, so this gives me something to look back on and appreciate. I gave it everything I could at this level," Magliarditi said.
Along with the ceremony, the first 1,000 fans to arrive for the 7:05 p.m. game will receive a free Wranglers 10th anniversary all-time team poster. The poster features Magliarditi along with other record-setting players.
