An April court date that may move extradition forward for the Las Vegas Strip shooting suspect was scheduled during a hearing that also confirmed his identity.
Prosecutors were successful in confirming the identity of Ammar Harris, who had a hearing Thursday in connection to his arrest for the deadly Feb. 21 shooting and resultant crash on the Strip.
The hearing took place in Los Angeles Superior Court following his arrest in Studio City, Calif. on Feb. 28
According to court officials, photos and fingerprints verified the person arrested last month as Harris, the person sought for the deaths of three people.
The judge in the extradition proceedings set an April 12 court date to verify if a warrant was signed off by Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval that will arrange for his transport to Las Vegas.
