LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in downtown Las Vegas Thursday.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, a vehicle fled the collision that happened on Charleston and Las Vegas boulevards just after 6:30 a.m.
Police said the female pedestrian had right-of-way when she was struck.
The woman was transported to University Medical Center, where her condition was not immediately disclosed, police said.
Authorities said they were looking for a black vehicle in connection to the incident.
The intersection at Charleston and Las Vegas boulevards was shut down following the accident but was reopened just after 9 a.m.
