LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A house fire in southeast Las Vegas created a series of small explosions, authorities said Thursday.

Clark County Fire Department reported the blaze at a home in the 3900 block of San Andreas Avenue, near Sandhill Road and Tropicana Avenue, just before 9 a.m.

According to fire officials, crews fought the blaze from the rear of the house, where a patio was engulfed. Crews also observed the flames spreading to inside the home and to the attic.

Fire officials were told by neighbors they heard an explosion followed by smaller explosions.

A person in the home was treated by medical personnel at the scene after trying to put out the fire, officials said.

There were no other injuries reported. Damage was estimated at $45,000.
