LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Two women are suspects in a Las Vegas burglary in which one of them shot a man who had interrupted the crime in progress.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, a man and woman were driving to their son's home in the 7200 block of Copper Road, east of Hollywood Boulevard, about 6 a.m. Thursday.
The couple found a vehicle parked in the driveway with a woman in the driver's seat, police said. Another woman exited the home and was confronted by the couple, according to authorities.
Once the second suspect entered the vehicle, she produced a handgun and shot the man from inside the car before fleeing, police said.
Metro said the man sustained a gunshot wound to the hand. He was transported to University Medical Center in stable condition.
Police described the suspected driver as a Hispanic woman in her late 20s with a muscular build. The suspected shooter was also described as a Hispanic woman in her late 20s with long black hair.
Police said the suspect vehicle is a dark gray sedan with a driver side window that was shattered as a result of the shooting.
Metro warned both suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
