Clark County Education Association President Ruben Murillo issued the following statement on Tuesday night concerning the resignation of Clark County School District Superintendent Dwight D. Jones:
"It's unfortunate that family illness has prompted Superintendent Jones' departure from the school district. We respect that decision and hope that as the School Board moves forward to fill the position, they will keep the best interest of our students in mind. Clark County needs a Superintendent that will advocate for the needed funding and will work closely with teachers for the benefit of our students."
