A Phoenix teacher accused of inappropriately touching at least two of his students has been arrested.
Phoenix Police Department spokesman Tommy Thompson said the principal at Alta Butler Elementary School, located at 3800 W. Roosevelt, was notified of the alleged incident by a parent.
Thompson said detectives investigated and found probable cause that Eduardo Savinon, 45, of Glendale had inappropriately touched two of his female students. Police said they believe this happened while in his classroom and on one occasion, another student interrupted an attempt to touch one of the girls.
Savinon denied the allegations.
He was arrested and booked into Maricopa County Jail. He made his initial appearance before a judge on Friday afternoon and his bond was set at $75,000.
He's facing two counts of molestation and one count of attempted molestation.
Police are investigating if there are additional victims. Anyone with information is asked to call Phoenix Police Department Violent Crimes Bureau at 602-262-6141.
According to the police report, Savinon has worked at the school for three years.
The Isaac School District released the following statement.

The school administration acted quickly and the police were notified immediately based on state law. As a result, the teacher was sent home on administrative leave.
Mr. Saviñon was arrested last night for alleged inappropriate actions. This is an ongoing investigation by the Phoenix Police Department and currently there is no new information to share.
