Teen struck, injured by car in west Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A teen was sent to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Metro police reported the incident about 2:35 p.m. Friday in the area of N. Buffalo Drive and W. Gowan Road.

Police said the 16-year-old girl was not in a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a 2007 Nissan Altima.

The victim was taken to University Medical Center where she was last listed in critical condition.
