Widespread Panic in Vegas for 2 July shows - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU

After taking a year off, the members of Widespread Panic are bringing their brand of rock to Las Vegas.

The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel announced the Georgia-based band's two-night engagement on July 12-13.

Tickets, which start at $49.50, go on sale March 8 at 10 a.m.

The band's opening act is the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

Known as a "jam band", Widespread Panic began playing steadily in 1986. The band is also known for using concerts as food drive events, raising more than $50,000 and about 6,000 pounds of food since 2008.
