LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Authorities released the name of a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run motorist in west Las Vegas.
The Clark County Coroner's office said Joe Edward Collins, 60, of Las Vegas, died of multiple blunt force trauma as a result of the accident on Wednesday.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, Collins was crossing Torrey Pines Drive near Charleston Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk about 10:30 p.m.
Collins was struck by a mid or large size sport-utility vehicle, police said. The driver did not stop following collision.
The pedestrian died as a result of the hit-and-run collision.
