LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Clark County Coroner's office released the name of a 50-year-old man who, police say, died at the hands of a relative.

John Henderson, of Las Vegas, died of strangulation as a result of a homicide, the coroner's office ruled.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Henderson's body was found Wednesday at 3:52 a.m. at an apartment in the 6500 block of Boulder Highway.

Police believe the victim got into a fight with another man before he died. Police identified 27-year-old Christopher Henderson-Reid as the suspect in the domestic dispute.

Metro detectives were told the suspect fled the area in the victim's vehicle after the incident.

Police said Las Vegas homicide detectives and a Los Angeles police fugitive team located the vehicle and took Henderson-Reid without incident in southern California.

He was taken to the LAPD detention center, awaiting extradition proceedings.

Police urge anyone with information on the incident to contact Metro's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
