Three women inside a vehicle that was suspected in a deadly Las Vegas Strip shooting and resulting wreck have been questioned by police, the Associated Press reported Thursday.
Citing Las Vegas Metro police Capt. Chris Jones, the AP reported the three women were inside a black Range Rover driven by Ammar Harris, 26, on the morning of Feb. 21.
Police suspected Harris opened fire at a Maserati that caused a chain-reaction crash, killing three people.
Harris was still being sought as a suspect in the shooting, police said.
On Thursday, Metro police confirmed questioning one of the women, Yenesis Alfonzo, who was also identified as Tineesha Howard, in another state Wednesday night.
Metro said Alfonzo told detectives she was in the black Range Rover suspected in the shooting that led to the deaths of three people on Feb. 21.
On Wednesday, police removed several pictures they said were of Alfonzo from their website. Those photos were previously sent to media outlets in the search for a person of interest.
An attorney for Tasha Malek, a woman featured in reality television who was depicted in several photos with Harris, said she was mistakenly identified as Alfonzo by police.
The attorney told CNN she did know Harris years ago when they both lived in Miami. Malek was not in Las Vegas on the night of the incident, the attorney said, and she has not had contact with him for years.
Late Wednesday, police said Alfonzo was no longer being sought as a person of interest, but they did not disclose the reason at the time.
Metro did not comment on the photos' removal from the police website.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.
