GOLDEN VALLEY, AZ (FOX5) -

More than 500 plants and about 28 pounds of packaged marijuana were seized in a grow operation sting at a home in northwest Arizona.

According to the Mohave County Sheriff's office, a man and woman were charged on Feb. 22 in connection to the grow house in the town of Golden Valley, which is located 25 miles east of Laughlin, NV.

Members of the department's narcotics enforcement team were notified of the possible grow house in the 1100 block of S. Concho Road. There, according to authorities, the garage was equipped with lighting, a water system with timers and a cooling system, as well as a smaller marijuana operation within the property.

Michael Anthony Lozano, 23, and Kristina Lynn Pineda, 20, were arrested on charges of marijuana possession for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon during a drug offense.
