2 killed in head-on collision

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Two people were killed in a head-on collision on southbound U.S. 95 near Kyle Canyon Road on Friday afternoon, the Nevada Highway Patrol confirmed.

The crash took place at 3:53 p.m. on Friday. Southbound 95 was closed at the crash site.

Troopers said a man driving a 2008 black Ford pickup was traveling the wrong direction on 95 and slammed into a white Chevy pickup. Both drivers were killed.

The deceased will be identified by the coroner in the coming days. The crash remains under investigation.
