LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A driver escaped serious injury after a vehicle's front end split from the rest of the car in northeast Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Metro police reported the single vehicle accident about 1 a.m. Friday on E. Bonanza Road and Nellis Boulevard.
According to police, the driver was heading eastbound when his vehicle hit a block wall.
The driver sustained a laceration to his head and was taken to University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the driver was cited for driving under intoxication.
