A woman whose body was found in northeast Las Vegas Tuesday actually went missing two days before she was discovered.

The mother of Josephine Butler, 28, told FOX5 her daughter was last seen Sunday at the Longhorn Casino off Boulder Highway.

Butler was found dead about 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, according to Las Vegas Metro police. The Clark County Coroner's office confirmed her identification.

Butler's mother, Sheryl Dumitru, said Josephine was found in a duffle bag in a dumpster. Butler appeared to have had a lump on her head and a bruise on her cheek, according to Dumitru.
