LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Authorities released the name of a 94-year-old Las Vegas man who died following a three-vehicle crash in the west end of the city.

George W. Nicastro was the person who died in the incident on Thursday, according to Clark County Coroner's office.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Nicastro was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala heading north on Apple Drive, approaching Charleston Boulevard, about 12:30 p.m.

Nicastro lost control, drove over the curb and into the Charleston intersection against a red light, police said.

The Impala then struck a Chevrolet pickup that was headed eastbound on Charleston. Another vehicle was struck from the resulting collision. The driver of the Impala was taken to UMC Trauma where he was pronounced dead. Everyone else involved in the crash suffered only minor injuries.

Metro was not sure if the driver of the Impala died from a medical condition or from the crash.

Traffic on both sides of Charleston was shut down.
