LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Authorities released the name of a suspect who was shot during a confrontation with Las Vegas police officers.
Robert Antonio Torres, 33, was shot to death on Feb. 8, the Clark County Coroner's office said.
According to police, officers received reports of a man at the complex who was wanted for shooting his girlfriend in the face at close range.
When officers confronted the trio, the suspect, Torres, pulled out a handgun and fired at the officers. Officers returned fire, striking and killing the suspect. The other man was hit as well. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The female received minor injuries to a lower extremity. No officers were injured. Neither the surviving man nor the woman has been charged.
Police released the names of Officers Joseph E. Parra and Scott A. Thomas as those involved in the shooting.
