Home damaged by fire in east Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A single-story home was heavily damaged by fire in east Las Vegas Sunday.

According to Clark County Fire Department, the blaze happened just before 10 p.m. in the 4600 block of E. Colorado Avenue, near Charleston and Lamb boulevards.

CCFD reported flames burning in the attic for the home.

Fire crews needed 20 minutes to completely knockdown the blaze.

One person inside the home was able to escape and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage was estimated at $100,000, CCFD said.
