A billboard on Las Vegas highways featuring the face of accused cop killer Christopher Dorner is making an impression on local residents and visitors. The former LA police officer is wanted for killing three people. Authorities are searching California, Arizona, Northern Mexico, and Las Vegas to find him.
The billboard can be spotted near Decatur and the 215 Beltway. About every 30 seconds it displays a picture of Dorner, calling him armed and dangerous and urging anyone who sees him to call police immediately.
"It's very important because it's possible he's around us, nobody knows. So if you see him, this way you can say call the police," said Las Vegas resident Ehab Kareem.
California resident Rebecca Mubvakure and her husband, Jay Mubvakure, say they learned quickly that law enforcement isn't taking any chances. They say Friday Jay Mubvakure was pulled over by Riverside police who heard he matched the description of the suspected cop killer.
"He was made to lay on the pavement on the freeway, the freeway was shut down, there were three helicopters circling overhead, they searched his car," said Rebecca Mubvakure.
Jay Mubvakure was detained for 45 minutes until a supervisor verified that he was not Dorner.
Meanwhile, the hunt continues along with the worry about where Dorner may turn up next.
