LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police are seeking a man who is wanted for threatening his ex-girlfriend with a gun and breaking into a home while eluding officers.

Las Vegas Metro police said Javier Reyes was involved in an incident on Dec. 29 which involved screams heard on an open 911 call. According to Metro, Reyes struck his ex-girlfriend at a home in the 6300 block of E. Sahara Avenue.

He also threatened her with a firearm before escaping from the home, police said.

Police also said Reyes was spotted in the 10000 block of Delray Beach Avenue in northwest Las Vegas on Feb. 7.

There, police said, Reyes fled from detectives, broke into an elderly couple's home, took their car keys and drove away in their vehicle.

Police said he was last seen in a blue four-door Hyundai Sonata with Nevada handicap plate "PH72725".

Police described Reyes as a Hispanic male, 5'8", 190 pounds with a shaved head and brown eyes. Metro warned that Reyes has a history of violence and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police urge anyone with information on Reyes' whereabouts to call Metro's Criminal Apprehension Team Section at 702-205-0245 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
