Metro talking to Dorner's Vegas connections, working in pairs

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police on Friday afternoon held a press conference concerning fugitive ex-police officer Christopher Dorner.

Police updated their end of the investigation, saying they are contacting Las Vegas residents with whom Dorner has connections. They're also talking to people mentioned in the manifesto Dorner posted online.

Also, citing concerns about the potential for an attack by Dorner, Metro will have two officers in each vehicle. The Nevada Highway Patrol will follow suit. North Las Vegas officers already patrol in pairs. Henderson police will continue to patrol with one officer per patrol vehicle.

Police will also continue to assist the FBI in their search for Dorner.

Stay tuned to FOX5 for the latest on this developing story.
