LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

It's the Year of the Snake, and Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is celebrating with a Chinese New Year display.

Upon entering the conservatory, visitors will be greeted by an 18' tall, custom-made Chinese money tree, which symbolizes prosperity, good fortune and nobility.

Not too far from the tree, you'll find a 9' King Cobra snake covered in 5,000 blue and yellow luminescent scales. The snake is perched atop a mound of gold coins. The snake - friendly, we're told - protects wealth and good fortune through the year.

Nearby, a waterfall gushes over Taihu rocks. The waterfall is believed to encourage the circulation of ch'i, or natural energy.

The display, on view through March 3, is free and open to the public seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
