Crews are set to patch large sections of Gass Avenue in downtown Las Vegas on Wednesday, and drivers are urged to find alternate routes.
The temporary work will patch deteriorated sections of pavement until a reconstruction project can be implemented.
The first patch will be in the eastbound travel lane, west of Las Vegas Boulevard. Eastbound and westbound travel lanes will be shifted and maintained during work.
The second patch will occur at the intersection of Third Street and Gass. Traffic will be closed on Third, but Gass travel lanes will remain open.
Funding for the project was provided by the city of Las Vegas.
