No Joe: 'Cobra' recruiting in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Honor. Respect. Courage. Do you have what it takes?

Cobra Special Forces, a branch of Cobra Command, has scheduled a recruitment drive during next month's NASCAR Weekend festivities at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The event, part of a nationwide enlistment effort being held in 14 states, will familiarize potential recruits with the organization and goals of its enigmatic founder, Cobra Commander.

While details of the March 10 meeting are currently under wraps, it's clear that Cobra is mobilizing to suppress the upcoming propaganda film "G.I. Joe: Retaliation."

The smear campaign has drawn support from a number of Hollywood personalities, including Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Bruce Willis, and Channing Tatum, all of whom appear in the film.

To combat the hype, Cobra released a promotional video voiced by "The Thing" actor Keith David, in which heroic Cobra Special Forces are showcased on the front lines of an ongoing battle against tyranny.

After strategic setbacks in 2009 and 2012, Cobra Commander has expanded his influence in the nation's capital, and, according to this video, serves as a member of the presidential cabinet.
