The property formerly known as the Las Vegas Hilton went through the name change on Jan. 3, 2012.
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The off-Strip casino property that was once known as the Las Vegas Hilton announced its inclusion under a new hotel brand.
Las Vegas Hotel and Casino has joined Red Lion Hotels Corporation under its Leo Hotel Collection branding.
The Las Vegas property reached an agreement last month to affiliate with Red Lion Hotels.
"We are happy to have the LVH join as the first hotel in the Leo Hotel Collection," Red Lion Hotels executive Ron Burgett said in a news release Tuesday. "This iconic hotel has the outstanding guest service and amenities that can only be found in premium Las Vegas resorts, all directly adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center, one of the world's largest meeting destinations."
According to the company, the Leo Hotel Collection focuses on boutique and historic hotels under the branding.
Las Vegas Hotel and Casino shed its old Hilton identity in January, 2012. Before that, the property had been known as the Las Vegas Hilton since 1971.
It opened under the name International Hotel in 1969.
There was no exact word on how the new deal affects branding and signage at the LVH.
