Smoke, odor evacuates Excalibur hotel-casino

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Clark County fire crews evacuated at least 17 floors at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino early Tuesday morning after receiving reports of a fire alarm going off and smoke coming from an unknown source.

Crews responded to the call at about 2 a.m.

According to authorities, elevators were shut down while crews investigated.

Fire officials said a strong odor was coming from inside the hotel as well.

Crews were able to clear the smoke, and evacuated guests were allowed to return to their rooms. Officials say crews were on fire watch while they continued to investigate the source of the smoke and the odor.

There were no reported injuries.
