Hundreds of thousands of people around Las Vegas spent Sunday afternoon watching the Super Bowl at house parties, bars and casinos all over town.
Police conducted a sobriety checkpoint Sunday night hoping to reduce the impact of impaired drivers on Super Bowl weekend. The checkpoint was on Boulder Highway and Mayorga, an intersection known to be a high-traffic area for accidents and impaired drivers.
Earlier in the day at viewing parties like the one at the Silverton Casino, football fans enjoyed food, drinks and some friendly rivalries while watching the game.
Many 49ers fans left disappointed after the Ravens won the heated match. At least one fan had a positive outlook on the loss. "If we did have to lose to someone, I'm glad it's a Harbaugh brother. The best person to lose to is your brother," explained Jason Fraser.
