Posted: Updated:
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

What's the most pressing safety issue in your part of town? That's what Las Vegas Metro captains considered when setting agendas for the first First Tuesday event of the year.

Police in Metro's area commands will discuss issues specific to each area. Doors to area commands will open at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Each First Tuesday features a different subject and February has been declared "Captain's Choice."

Here's what will be discussed at each location:

  • Bolden Area Command - Home Burglaries
  • Convention Center Area Command - Tourist Crimes
  • Enterprise Area Command - Pedestrian Safety and Traffic
  • Downtown Area Command - Keeping Up Digitally With Your Neighborhood
  • Northeast Area Command - DUI Awareness and Demonstration
  • Northwest Area Command - Property crimes and prevention tips.
  • Southeast Area Command - Crime trends in the area and prevention tips
  • South Central Area Command - Property crimes and Crime Stoppers

Anyone who wishes to attend is encouraged to do so. After the topic is discussed, you'll be able to talk with officers about your neighborhood.
