LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Reporting problems and finding downtown parking in Las Vegas are now at your fingertips in a new smartphone application.

"City of Las Vegas Mobile" is available in the Apple AppStore for iPhone, the city announced.

In the mobile app, users can report or check the status of any problem within the city limits. Problems can include graffiti, potholes and inoperable street lights, among other things.

The reporting of problems is also in real time and could lead to an immediate response, the city said.

In addition, the app allows drivers to find open public parking spaces, with particular information provided such as the number of spaces, rates and hours of operation. The app will direct you to those space locations.

"We know that people are always on the go, especially in a 24-hour town like Las Vegas," Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman said. "This new app is another way for our citizens to report a problem quickly so that staff can respond right away, as well as providing helpful parking information for our exciting and vibrant urban core."

The app is free, and it serves as a compliment to the already functioning m.lasvegasnevada.gov, which is available in any web browsing enabled phone.
