PRESCOTT, AZ (CBS5/AP) -

Prescott police arrested a 48-year-old woman in connection with the murder of her 52-year-old husband in November.

Prescott police said Cynthia Mueller was taken into custody about 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Her husband, David W. Mueller, was killed in their Prescott home on Nov. 16.

Investigators said they uncovered additional information linking Cynthia Mueller to the murder.

She was booked into Yavapai County Jail on a homicide charge and on multiple felony fraudulent schemes charges.

Police also arrested 42-year-old Travis Northcutt, who was living with Cynthia Mueller. He was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in Yavapai County.

Since the murder, Cynthia Mueller has denied asking a Nevada man to kill her husband and helping him do it.

In January, Charles Todd, of Hendersonville, pleaded not guilty to the smothering of David Mueller.

David Mueller was suffering from a degenerative neuromuscular disease and was under the care of Cynthia Mueller.

A police affidavit stated Todd said he and Cynthia Mueller were having an affair and that she asked him to hasten her husband's death. The affidavit also says Todd said Cynthia Mueller started smothering David Mueller and that he finished it.

The widow denies all of that but says her father formerly employed Todd and asked him to help with her husband's care.
