HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -
People inside a Henderson residence were able to escape a fire that sparked at the home's garage on Monday.
Henderson Fire Department reported the blaze just after 9 a.m. near the intersection of Horizon Drive and Arrowhead Trail.
According to fire officials, a person inside the home alerted others of smoke in the garage. They were able to evacuate the home without injury, Henderson FD said.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire in the garage. The flames were quickly extinguished.
There were no injuries as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Damage was estimated at $20,000, Henderson fire said.
