Account set up for slain former Metro officer, son

BOULDER CITY, NV (FOX5) -

Metro police on Monday announced that a memorial fund has been set up to assist the family of Kathryn Michelle Walters and her son Max.

Funds will be used to cover funeral and burial expenses.

Anyone who wishes to donate may do so with the following information:

Michelle and Max Memorial fund
Wells Fargo Bank – Green Valley Parkway and Pebble Road branch

Kathryn Michelle Walters and Max were killed by Kathryn's husband, Metro Officer Hans Walters. He then set their home on fire and took his own life.
