The Clark County Coroner's office released the name of a 23-year-old woman who died after her vehicle slammed into an RTC Deuce bus in west Las Vegas.
Julia Schultz of Las Vegas was the victim in the incident on Monday, the coroner's office disclosed.
According to Metro police, the wreck involving Schultz happened before 2 p.m. on Charleston Boulevard near Rainbow Boulevard.
Witnesses said the victim, driving a 2004 Ford Taurus, rear-ended the transit bus while it was stopped at a bus stop with passengers boarding. Schultz was taken to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Five bus passengers were taken to Mountain View Hospital for treatment for minor injuries.
Police closed eastbound Charleston at Rainbow and said they recovered drug paraphernalia from the victim's car.
