The Clark County Coroner's office released the name of a 58-year-old woman who died after a blaze at her apartment.

Sharon Decosta died early Monday after a fire broke out at the Monaco Park Apartments, near Cimarron and Desert Inn roads.

Clark County Fire Department said residents reported smoke coming from a ground floor apartment about 2:30 a.m.

Fire officials said flames were confined to a living room area. Crews were able to put out the fire, preventing it from spreading.

Firefighters then found a middle aged woman's body at the scene, according to CCFD.
