Metro police say a fight between a mother and daughter led to a serious accident Sunday.
They say the incident started as a domestic situation in Henderson.
A 50-year-old woman and her 70-year-old mother then got in the car and headed toward the area of Broadbent Boulevard and Russell Road.
Police say the daughter was driving.
The daughter started beating her mother and sped through a stoplight, according to police.
She lost control of the car, causing it to flip.
Police say the mother was transported to UMC Trauma via Flight for Life to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries.
They believe the daughter was impaired during the accident with both drugs and alcohol.
She was taken to Sunrise Hospital.
Metro says when she is released, the daughter could face several charges, including felony DUI with substantial bodily harm.
Police did not say what the fight was about.
