Person struck by car in west Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

One person was injured after getting hit by a car.

Metro Police say the accident happened near Valley View Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

The person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the person was not in a crosswalk and was wearing dark clothing.

Investigators don't believe the driver was impaired during the accident.
