Man shot in arm outside Galleria Mall, suspect on the run

HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

A 23-year-old man was shot in the arm in the Galleria Mall parking lot after getting into a verbal confrontation with another man, according to Henderson police.

The altercation between the two men started inside the Galleria Mall near Sunset Road and Stephanie Street. The victim left the mall followed by the suspect.

Reports of gunfire were heard just before 10 a.m. Saturday, according to Henderson police.

The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Sunrise hospital.

The suspect fled the parking lot and has not been taken into custody. Henderson Police detectives are following up various investigative leads.

The victim of the shooting was not cooperative with detectives.

The suspect was described as a black male in his early 20s and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
