Jewelry store robbery turns into shootout

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Two suspects are on the loose following an attempted robbery at Huntington Jewelers on W. Sahara Avenue near S. Tenaya Way.

Police said the suspects entered the business at 4:55 p.m. on Thursday and demanded money. One suspect fired a gun and an employee returned fire.

It's not known if anyone was injured in the exchange. There were no customers in the store at the time.
