LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Indie rock trio The xx is planning a return to Las Vegas in April, concert venue The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel announced Tuesday.

The group based out of London, England is slated to perform at the off-Strip venue on April 16. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale Jan. 25 at Ticketmaster locations, Ticketmaster.com or at the The Joint box office.

The group last played in Las Vegas in October, 2012 at the outdoor Boulevard Pool stage at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The show, though, was shortened by rain.

The xx are set to kick off a world tour on Jan. 24 in New York. The Las Vegas show is the first of two shows set in Nevada. The band's website shows a scheduled date at the Knitting Factory in Reno on May 29.

The band is touring in support of its sophomore album, "Coexist".
