Thousands are expected to attend the Martin Luther King Day parade in Las Vegas on Monday.

Downtown Las Vegas is expected to draw thousands for the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade.
Monday's event enters its 31st year, with about 140 entries for the parade, according to presenting sponsor MGM Resorts International.
The Las Vegas-based company announced the theme of the parade as "Living the Dream: Dream with a Vision; Live with a Purpose."
"MGM Resorts shares Dr. King's dream of a world where every American, and every human being, has equal rights to pursue life, liberty and happiness," said Jim Murren, Chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International. "We proudly join our communities in honoring Dr. King's historic legacy and the ideals that he stood so boldly for."
The parade will start at 4th Street and head north to Ogden at 10 a.m.
The parade staging area will be held along Coolidge, Gass and Hoover avenues between Casino Center Boulevard and 4th Street.
The parade will finish at Stewart Avenue with a projected end time of 2:30 p.m.
Organizers said closures near the parade route will happen between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the following streets:
- On Coolidge, from Casino Center to 4th;
- On Hoover, from Casino Center to 4th;
- On Gass, from Casino Center to 4th;
- On 4th Street, from Charleston to Ogden.
