The Baltimore Ravens are taking on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 47, and locals packed their favorite bars to watch that match-up happen. Fans spending money on drinks and food while watching their favorite teams play is a win for business owners and their employees.
Sunday afternoon the Crab Corner Restaurant was packed with some very excited Baltimore Ravens fans who have claimed the joint as their Ravens hangout.
The dream of playing in the Super Bowl came true for 49ers fans on Sunday. Many of them watched the team beat the Atlanta Falcons at the 215 Saloon, a favorite for 49ers enthusiasts like Set Rivas. "It's better to be celebrating with a whole bunch of Niner fans than a bunch of random fans," he said.
All the celebrating means a great deal of drinks and snacks, giving the employees and business owners a reason to celebrate, too. "We've got great regulars. As a business, it's great to see the same people come back all the time," said Mark Smolen, owner of the Crab Corner. His restaurant has become a haven for Ravens fans, filling their bellies and emptying their wallets.
Come Feb. 3, the Crab Corner and the 215 Saloon can expect more crowds as fans hope to see their favorite team crowned Super Bowl Champions.
