One man is dead after crashing his motorcycle late Saturday night.
The accident happened at around 11:40 p.m. near Bonanza Road and 7th Street.
Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated the 2000 Harley Davidson was riding eastbound on Bonanza approaching a bend in the roadway.
Police said the 41-year-old rider lost control and ran off the right side of the road near 7th Street.
The motorcycle continued eastbound through a vacant lot and struck a set of guy wires anchoring a power pole.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
This is the 12th traffic related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
The Clark County Coroner's Office will release the identity and official cause of death once next of kin has been notified.
